    1. 36 years in the classroom that’s not just teaching, that’s building legacies one kid at a time.

Finding a black person was like searching for where’s Waldo. Took me forever to find one.

    3. My grandmother’s funeral was standing room only. She had taught at the local parish primary school for over thirty years. I remember sitting in the funeral directors car and old men on the street taking their caps off as we passed. Of course all the older local Catholics knew exactly whose procession it was. Eerie and comforting at the same time.

    4. We did this for my highschool Latin teacher when she retired. It wasn’t the whole school, but all her current students and we got permission for graduated students to come in too.

    5. Not to be too cynical, but that happened in a private school. Im sorry never has happened in a public school. But congratulations to him in all respect.

    6. Beautiful

But why are some in Pijamas, some in Uniforms and some in casual clothes? The dress code is confusing me

    7. I quit teaching after just a few years and even then the memories, hugs, gifts, thank yous and farewell dinners I will never forget.

This guy with 36 years under his belt must be touching heaven.

    8. Nobody will give a shit about me when I leave my job and I I doubt anyone but surviving family and perhaps a coworker or two would show at my funeral

I think this might be the curse of our generation.

We aren’t able to live lives like these legends anymore.
